These affordable home designs are based on being expandable with a “base plan” designed to accommodate future expansion.  Rather than using roof trusses, the affordable home designs are stick accommodate for additions to be built under the existing roof.  Roofs will be framed for the future dormers to be added and the initial “base plans” have properly proportioned room sizes (i.e. the living room for the 1052 s.f. base plan will not be too small when the home is expanded to 1,841 s.f.).
